Eyeliners Aftercare

Day 1: Eyeliner will be dark, red, tender, swollen, slight stinging sensation

Day 2: Area will feel dry, swollen, and tender

Days 3-4: Swelling will subside; area will feel dry, tight, and itchy; will start scabbing/flaking.

Days 5-14: Flaking ends, pigment looks light and patchy

Days 15-41: Color slowly darkens

Weeks 8-12:  Touch up time!

  • The eyeliner will look thicker and darker the first few days.  As the skin heals, the scabs will fall off in random pieces and might look patchy and light.

  • Scabs will take about 7 -10 days to peel off.  Do not pick at the scabs or peel them off prematurely.

  • The color will fade approximately 30-50% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal.

  • If you have any questions or concerns, please notify your technician immediately

  • Do not rub, pick or scratch the treated areas. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and color unevenness.

  • No eyelash extensions or false lashes until the eyeliners are completely healed (about 14 days after your procedure).

  • No makeup, mascara, cleansers, creams, or any products on your eyes for 14 days or until the scabs completely fall off.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 2 weeks after the procedure.

  • Avoid heavy sweating exercise, hot saunas, and swimming until the scabs completely fall off.

  • Do not take long showers because the steam can affect your eyeliner. Make it as quick as possible.

  • Do not wear contact lenses the first 5 days after procedure due to swelling, itching, and risk of infection.

  • Do not sleep on your face and use a clean pillowcase

  • No facials, Botox or any other cosmetic treatments for at least 4 weeks.
